Not sure where to post

I am having a small problem with content showing up on diffrent computers.

On my photalbum pages I created <<<previous and net>>> links.

On my laptop, which is IE 6 the <<< and the >>> show up.

On my desktop, neither show up. It also is running IE6.

What could be causing this?

I am using the proper code for these characters.
