I'm working with a few other designers that are out of state, and we want to implement a program to track everyone's progress and stay in touch in one place. Basically, people can post up their progress and check a central calendar for deadlines.

I don't think we need it set so that the clients can check it, its mostly just for me and two other designers.

Any recommendations on what we should use? A free download would be fine, but its something I don't mind paying for.

PHPCollab is usually the first one off the blocks for this type of request - have a look too at the DMOZ category:

Iv just been thinkg of this myself, I need a tool to keep 3 people up all to date on each others progress on a project.

I think I'm just gonna use a simple news or blog publishing script and just give each person access to publish. It will need to have the ability to sort by author, date, subject etc.

>check a central calendar for deadlines.
Why not just keep it simple and upload a gannt chart in excel.

I use this:

I think this is something you arelooking for. It's an open source project and it's free.
