Does anyone have a disclaimer on their site about how the site delivers and uses cookies? If so, what do you tell users?

I’m looking for suggestions to cover my sites in light of the new EU regulations. I also think it is just good practice to add this info to the boilerplate disclaimer on my sites.

I'm in the US but we have always have had a cookie disclaimer, just for our customers peace of mind. They are a rather paranoid lot.

Basically it says "We use "cookies" to obtain certain types of information when your Web browser accesses our site. Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser. They enable our systems to recognize your browser and to personalize your shopping experience including (whatever your cookies do)"

It's in our privacy policy. BTW, the words were changed slightly so it's not a direct quote.
