I was wondering... I have a article filled information site... widget.com.

I am gonna expand into having a phpbb forum for discussing widgeting and a directory for widgeting links.

These two new sections I am adding, should I make these their own site (widgetlink.com and widgetform.com for example) OR should I just add them as another section to my main site (widget.com).

I believe that Google is looking for “Authority” sites these days. If this is the case I would keep it all in the one domain rather than setting up similar sites and cross linking to them.

I would not group all of your links either in their own domain , directory or page. Spread the links out into your content, where they are useful to the user.

I am beginning to think that too...

By combining it all into one site, I could have a PR 7 site instead of three PR 4 sites.

Too bad, I just got 2 kick ass domains.

I have one site which has been up for a few years and sells a variety of widgets. I then picked out the best selling widget from that site and spun it off to a separate site.

After Florida the older site stayed the same with very little change and actually benefited from the fallout, the newer, more specific site got caught by the filter.

I think that it might be an idea to stick with one site for all, safer in the long run in terms of Google SERP's anyway. Just my $0.02!
