Disable URL text

How do I freeze the URL that is displayed?

How do I freeze the URL text so that when I redirect to another page, the URL still shows up as the old page.

As far as I know, you can't. But instead of a redirect, you could use a frame, then the url that shows will be the main one, and not the one with the content.
