I think I have a DNS error?

Not able to access about 50% of web pages.

Things were going just fine this weekend until I would get page not found on WW, blogger, godaddy, my work email, etc.

The thing that ot me is that the toolbar knew they were there and would assign pagerank, IE would display a default page not found page.

I attempted to do a ipconfig/ flush dns, all, and refreshdns. Still nothing.

I also ran spybot search and destroy, adaware, flushed my internet files, cleared my history.

I am on a Comcast cable modem using a dlink wireless router. 2 of my computers suffered from this problem. I did some research and found that comcast has a weak/problem prone dns servers.

I am wondering if there are any free DNS servers or some universal DNS servers that I can set my router to go to?

I am also wondering if there are any other things I can/should do?

Unplug your cable modem and wait a minute and plug it back in. Once the cable light remains solid give your connection another try. Ususally works for me.

hmmm... this has happened to me too a couple of times.
I tried renewing my IP in DOS. it always worked for me.

give it a shot.

ipconfig /all

and then

ipconfig/renew

Well I am back at home, I can now post on WW on my desktop, but I can no longer get to google!

The toolbar is showing pagerank btw! Still clueless.
