Been happening for most of today, looks like a proxy problem.

Anyone else seeing the same thing?

Mack.

NTL? Google define: doesn't even know that one. Must be over my head.

If it's a proxy problem, doesn't that presuppose it's also a local problem and not something others outside of your organization would be experiencing?

(I'm no server whiz, so feel free to whollup me upside the head if I'm missing something.)

NTL is a cable company in the UK, and the countries largest broadband ISP.

NTL proxies are regional (by the old cable francise areas, mainly I believe), so it'll be a regional problem probably. NTL has previously had caching problems with Google - [webmasterworld.com...]

It normally is, I find switching to a different regional proxy can help solve the problem.

I am having a lot of trouble through a BT DSL connection.
For the last 2-3 days, I have to refresh about 3 times to get rid of "page not found" messages.

This is affecting any site - google, yahoo my ones etc...
