perhaps someone can help me out with something. i need a website project mgmt tool as a web developer. usually, i keep notes in a program called keynote. additionally, i create a single webpage that the client has access to with notes about progress, etc. i'd like to organize all this in a different fashion, in one program.

what i'd like:

- prefer a windows program
- program can traverse links within my created pages and update its sitemap of the project
- task manager / ability to add notes for each page/item
- reports on whats todo and whats completed, etc.
- ability to add 'tabs' with custom titles/sections
- free or low cost :o)

i don't need:

- a cms
- time management or reporting
- billing and expense

any suggestions? tia for any help.

Hi, Divaone. I've seen phpCollab used for this purpose. In essence, you can create a project with authorized users and its own workspace. You and your client can upload & download files, discuss the project in a private forum, and maintain a project schedule & task list. I don't think it will do any site mapping.

I like phpCollab a lot, but it's open source and lost its developer a while back, and there were definitely some issues with the product. It seems that development has resumed with some new players, though. It's pretty easy to use and even a non-technical client could probably grasp it fairly easily.

I like to use a private Wiki as a collaborative scratch pad.
