Does anyone know where I can find generic web portal terms so I can look somewhat knowledgable when talking to portal vendors. I imagine there is set of words that are generic enought that each vendor uses them. Any ideas?

I doubt you'll come across such a definitive list, since the concept of a "web portal" is relatively new, and can end up meaning different things to different people.

I asked for clairification, and was told terms like: digital dashboard, intranet portal, infrastructure portal, portal administration tools, etc

IMO You dont need to look knowlegebale, its the vendors jobto explain the solution without using buzzwords.

Phrases like 'digital dashboard' could mean anything - its like selling a solution thats 'user friendly' a good consultant should avoid any subjective terms like that.
