I have a few domains that I don't use, but I'd like to know how many "type-in" requests they get. What is the easiest way to do that?

how are the domains set up? are they all just parked on one account or all pointing at one other domain? What sort of log files do you have generated for them?

A type in will just show as an index file request with no referrer same as a bookmark or a link from email.

That's the thing, they're just parked in my GoDaddy account. I haven't done anything with them at all. I'm wondering if there's a way to get the info I'm after without too much set-up.

There are a few ways of doing this:

1. If you have redirection enabled at your registrar, you could set up a one-page website for each domain with just a counter on it. There are free hitcounters out there, just do a search on Google and you'll find them. Just redirect the domain to the page and watch the hits come in.

2. Another way is to redirect it to a linkportal (like Roar, or DomainSponsor). They keep track of the traffic, just not of where the traffic comes from tough... oh, this way you earn a few cents per click as well :)

Hope this helps,

Your #2 sounds interesting. Which linkportal would you recommend? I don't need to know where the traffic comes from because it should really only be type-in traffic.
