Very intersting. I side with Go Daddy. Verisign has always given me a bad vibe and I hate the idea of them having so much control.

The fact that companies have to bring themselves to release press statements over what should really be a private matter between the parties concerned just goes to show what a significant part of your economy litigation has become.
Now IANAE (I am not an economist), but I understand the basics, and I don't see how a stable economy can be based on intangible wealth creation, such as that realised through litigation and potential; rather than the trade of physical goods and services. My guess is that one day, the economy of the USA will nose dive in a spectacular fashion, rather than slowly drift into recession at a rate at which the government can work to turn things around.
It aint gonna be pretty, folks.
