According to this MSNBC [msnbc.com] article Comcast in Phil, PA has established bandwidth limits on users.

High-volume Comcast subscribers have been getting letters since late summer warning them of overuse. A few others have even had their service suspended after the first warning.

The problem is that they won't disclose the amount of usage that they will allow.

jbinbpt, yes I caught the same or similar article yesterday on C¦net.

Unfortunately, my account at home is with Cox. While Comcast isn't saying what their true limits are, I now see where Cox subscribers are "limited to downloading 2 gigabytes a day."

hmmm... guess I won't be downloading many log files from home anymore.
