Hi,

I know its possible but perhaps one of you expert can give me some explicit basic details about my question. The question is My friend purchased webspace from an isp and also he has a small tiny server for his database. Is it ok to tell him that from front end code like asp can connect to his database? I need to dig some more information about this but any body can explain me how the process can be done?

I am most grateful.

ASP routinely communicates with databases on other servers. As long as machine has a IP adddress connection is possible. Assuming that the database supports ODBC, the ISP should be able to provide an ODBC connection. Most ISP have someone that can provide this kind of assistance.
