This might sound like a silly questions but how do i redirect a subdomain to a directory in my main ftp.

In your main ftp? I am not totally sure what you mean. A subdomain is created with either apache or iis in the configuration files.

I have got a forum installed on [mydomain.com...] i have created a subdomain forums.mydomain.com how do i redirect this domain to the directory given above.
