Haven't been able to access it all day, and it times out when pinged.

I've seen other comments about this - I think it may be some sort of DNS issue with one or more ISPs - I'm getting through fine via Cox; but obviously some users are not able to get through. Who is your ISP?

MSN Hotmail experienced limited technical difficulties affecting a small set of accounts

Either it is not too small a number, or a disproportionate share of WebmasterWorld members were affected :)
