Same problems...

I have this same problem. I deleted my hosts file and restarted, but am still directed to search.xrenoder.com. What is the next course of action that I should take?

I am running WIN98 with a MSN account.

Sorry about that. I was trying to respond to a thread but it appears that the thread is two old and has been closed.

My problem is with spyware on my comp from an MSN or Windowns 98 update that has now somehow got a script redirecting me to search.wrenoder.com whenever I try to search on msn.

I have deleted the hosts file that had thehun.com listed in it and others have said that this corrected their problem, but after re-starting my computer I discovered that I am still being redirected.

Is there anything else that I need to do?

Get hold of a product called "Spybot, Search and Destroy" at a shareware site. Install and run the program. It is free.
