Lame Delegation

What does it mean really

I got an email from the current registrar of one of my domain names.

Domainz Limited, with whom you hold the registration for the above domain name, have noticed that this domain name is possibly 'lame'. This means it does not reside on the two given name servers, or any other possible names servers.

With the current situation, this domain name cannot providing any web or email services and there may be a legitimate reason for this. However, by moving the delegation of the domain name to our name servers, Domainz can manage your domain name more efficiently.

My domain is providing both web and email services. My host did put another server in, on a different network which may be the source of this so-called "problem".

I'm pretty sure I don't want to change to the Domainz name servers, but apart from maybe checking is there are other name servers for my hosting do I need to do anything?

*lol* olwen... I think that email is possibly more about Domainz pitching for business than anything. With them having recently gone into hosting, I've noticed a tendency for them to want to point out all sorts of 'faults' with other services in the few recent contacts I've had with them.

If your site is working and you're happy with your host, don't change anything.

I suspected it was about them looking for business. The grammar in the email was almost as bad as mine. I don't think I trust them.
