Backstory: We have a website and an extranet. They do not share content management systems and to make them do so would be quite expensive.

We'd like to display some of the content from our website on our extranet. However, we do not want to maintain it in two places. Is there some script that one of our tech guys can write that will dynamically go out to the web and swipe the content off one of the pages of our site? We don't want the *whole page* - just the content area - so a frame won't work. And the script has to refresh every time a user goes to that page so any updates to the website would show up on the extranet site.

Can you help? Or is there some other elegant way to make this work?

Molly, who is not a techie, but has learned that if she can think up something, there is someone who has already built it.

what you are asking for is commonly called a 'page ripper'. There are several different versions out there. Now that you know what they're called you and Google and probably find what you need ;)

Ah, I could've given you a very much beta perl script I coded, but it's probably wiser to go the route you did, good luck ;¬)
