I'm wondering if there is an easy way to break down and organize the .html files for an existing site. I'd like to easily create a spreadsheet containing each file name, along with it's page title, size (including dependencies), and (dare I wish?) perhaps even the corrosponding meta tag components? I'm hoping there's site management software which could produce this information quickly.

Hmmm.. not that I know of though i'm sure somthng like that must exist. Why not just create it in one of the 'office' products?

Well there are 500+ pages. I'd rather not go through and hand copy the info from each file into a spreadsheet. I have traffic reports for last 6 months. If I had the <head> content organized, seems like it'd be easy to quickly grasp what's working and what needs my focus. Perform some triage, if you will.
Too many times I've done a tedious task by hand only to discover later that there was a batch automated process available thru some software. Thought if I threw this one out there, I might get some ideas.

Hi You can just use a simple script to do this for you. Some link checker would do this to you I think but I do not remember any.

Isn't is possible to copy from your FTP client into a DB?

peewhy: Didn't know an FTP client could do this. Do you know one in particular that would?
bilalak: Good idea. I'll poke around thru some link checkers.
Thanks for the ideas!
