Style Sheets in Word

How do I modify and create style sheet in word. I am using Office XP (2002) and know there are located in the left hand side, but I want to tweak them.

I, personally, would use Wordpad to modify them.
I'm sure there is a reason why, but can't think of it right now.......

If you use word to edit a style sheet, you must make it save in "plain text format" or something to that eeffect.

Otherwise, word will stick in LOTS of "extra" stuff that will make you style sheet not work.

And I have never heard of anyone who wants to use office to edit a style sheet ;)

Are asking about the "Styles" that Word applies to its own documents? If so, then search in the Word Help files under "style" or "style_gallery" for instructions.

If this answer is off topic, please excuse, but the part of your question that I quoted above made me think you may not be talking about CSS.

I'm with Tedster--I think he means Word styles :)

On the menu, go Format > Style, which will bring up a dialog box with all the styles in use for that document.

Click on the style you want, and then click the "Modify" button.

Note that if you want your tweaks to become permanent, then you should edit the template file--usually "normal.dot". Note .dot, not .doc :)
