Ok I have created a database for my dvd's originally I was using bitmaps cause I could not get my forms to show jpgs.

Now I have and used this freakin Microsoft Clip Art gallery program thing and somehow a 6Mg jpg directory. Is translated into my access database file to 45Mg?!

When I just had the bitmaps the file was just so close to the bitmap directory.

Anyway anyone that can explain and help me solve this annoyance.

Thanks,
Matt Neufeld

Hi Matt, Welcome to WebmasterWorld.

The trick with Images in databases is to only store the path to the image in the database and have the image itself residing on the hard-disk. This reduces the database size considerably.
