Need a secure mail solution

Hi. We have a customer that needs to send and retreive sensitive data to and from one of our servers.

He is either considering PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) via email or other means. I cannot give him shell access to our servers, so that rules out Win SCP with encryption.

What else are our options? He also has his partner that has the exact same needs so they would both share the same connection. All data is to be either sent or retreived by either partner.

It is extremely sensitive data and private information on their client's files. Additionally, all data residing on our servers needs to be encrypted and password protected, so as to prevent unauthorized access.

THAWTE [thawte.com] has some excellent resources for email security. The free personal cert can be used for signing and encrypting email as well as for server authentication. There may be something in there that would work for your client.
