I am trying to copy a zip of a program that I have from a CD to my desktop. The program is installed in my PC already.

The error reads:

Cannot copy "Program Name": Data Error (cyclic redundancy check)

What does that mean? Anyway to get passed it?

Thanks,

DaveN

CRC is used to verify the quality of the file. If it fails a CRC check, it usually means the file is corrupted and you pretty much stuck, some disk scanning tools sometimes fix the problem but not often

Thanks, I should have said I have several ZIP files on the CD and everyone but this one seems to be able to be brought to the desktop.
