Free Internet Access

Does anyone know of a reliable free internet service for Canada servicing the Winnipeg area. DSL would be nice but regular is fine. Thanks.

you can try 3web [3web.net]. They have reached current capcity in alot of cities but I don't know about Winnipeg.

How reliable are they?. I dont want to re-direct mail from a dozen sites and then find out latter that I have to do it again. Do they require you to have an advertising bar on your computer and can I still use my IE or will they have something different like AOL? In other words, would you know the pluses and minuses of this service. Thanks in Advance.

from what I hear they are not all that great. You get an old compuserve style email (remember those? - [e-mail] ;))

also there is a 1/6 banner bar.

I know it's not great but I don't know of any other free providers in Canada. I'm getting a 3web account just for submissions and reporting.
