ban width/ disk space

Recently I launched a new website and I was looking at the ban width and disk usage and noticed something peculiar.
After the new site went live our disk usage has dropped 80% but our ban width increased 33%.

what do you guys think of that? is it good or bad?

I think good but figured I should get a second opinion, or with the way some of these lists can run, 20.

increased bandwidth is not necessarily a good thing. It could be caused by other sites linking directly to your images, malicious bots hunting down email addresses or scanning for security flaws etc. Ideally increased bandwidth is simply a result of more good traffic to your site. Have you done any log analysis to determine what kind of traffic could account for the increased bandwidth?

looking at paths through are site... the paths that occured after the new site went live a longer(more pages) instead of 1-3 pages I'm seeing more 4-7 pages.

Usually, more page views per visitor is a good thing, Sarah. Of course, it could also mean that the new design is confusing and people have to hunt more to find what they are looking for.

I'd recommend analyzing the outcomes (if you have any) - orders, info requests, etc. - in relation to your number of visits. That will give you a handle on how the new site is doing. Otherwise, check the paths visitors are taking and see if they fit your expectations.
