What are the pros/cons of a dedicated server, when is the time to switch to one, and do any of you guys have a dedicated server, (hosted by a service/yourself)? And what are your opinions on them?

I have a dedicated server. It's great, I can't say anything bad about it. I love the complete control, coupled with the fact that I don't have to worry about access failures, power outages and other related problems. Anything that goes wrong like that and the co-location facility takes care of it. Another benefit is not getting bogged down by someone elses server overhead. My cgi runs fast and response time is great!
