Been using the Wap services offered by my mobile phone network, all pretty basic stuff.

However this is going to get a heck of a lot bigger and better as time goes on, WAP, GPRS, G3, colour screens, better TFT displays on mobiles, etc, etc.

I can see alot of things certainly in the 'must have now' marketplace whether b2c or b2b, becoming a fast earner, and certainly at the moment a 'usp - unique selling point'

So how is everyone going to gear up for the Mobile Phone Net - MPN, on an e-commerce basis, or mom and pop site. I've certainly been thinking about it for a year or so, but the complexity has driven me away, and certainly from what i see at the moment is a realm of large companies, who can employ developers and site strategists to build a completly different type of online experience.

Hi caine,

IMHO WAP was a huge flop. It was hiped but nothing came off of it. I can't see there being any major companies speading alot of time or money on websites for mobile phones until it proves itself.

Yeah, WAP was stillborn, but I'm with Caine on this one. Not much use in my market, but where small 'n easy quick-buy stuff is concerned, or 'sh*t, I'm on the train and forgot her birthday again - flowers-by-phone here I come' scenarios, I'm sure it will be huge.
Hmmm. Thinking.
