I have been having a problem with Internet Explorer displaying web pages. I am not on a network and connect through AOL. I will sign on AOL and everything will work perfectly wihin AOL - browser, mail, etc. However, when I try to open up IE6, it will think for a while, then display:

The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings.

...along with their suggestions to get things working. Nothing has helped.

I have installed all Service Packs and am running XP Professional with AOL 8.0. I have tried downloading Netscape Navigator, but that will not work either. Occasionally, (once a week) IE6 WILL function correctly, (for what reason I do not know) but then next time it will staet acting up again. What's going on?

Try going to Tools > Internet Options > Connections > Setup and following the wizard there.

If AOL8.0 is able to display web pages at the same time other browsers cannot, I would suspect the AOL software, especially since AOL uses IE as it's core technology.
