Because I answer emails sent to many different websites and email addresses, it would be really useful for me to be able to have a drop-down list or something similar of addressses that I can send 'from' or appear to be sending from.

Anyone come across an Outlook plugin or something similar that can achieve this?

I can do this relatively easily from other email programs and web-based email, so I know the easiest thing would be to ditch Outlook altogether, but this is not an option for me at the moment. There's no problem with sending using multiple addresses as my mail server will let me do exactly as I please ;)

I'd just like to be able to send from this@that.com and also thother@another.org, without having to set these up as new accounts in Outlook.

Any suggestions?

don't worry, i'm not a spammer ;)

Hey Andy,

I haven't used Outlook in a while, but I seem to remember being able to est up a few different accounts, and when I went to send I mail I would specify which account I was using to send the mail.

You could try this - set up a few different accounts on Outlook and when you go to create a mail message look for an option which allows you to select the account you wish to use.

Apologies for the vagueness of details - while I'm pretty sure that this is possible, I'm equally sure that someone more familiar with Outlook will post a more detailed response!

Outlook 2000 can do this. Set up multiple accounts with different From addresses, then when you send an email click on the dropdown next to Send and it'll give you a choice of addresses.
