Last month I had a malfunction and had to re-install windows. Not a pretty site. Anyway ever since then I have not been able to download my log files like I used to, I am not prompted to pick a file to store them in...they are just downloaded in my hosts little window which I can not scroll in. When I try to copy and move them they are too big to get them all.
My question is, since I'm a computer dummy...What do I need to look for or re-install on my computer that I probably lost when it crashed. I really have no idea what I lost. Thanks for any help or directions you can point me in.

Sounds like your logs are being downloaded instead of being displayed in your browser window, is that correct? It may be that you had the log file associated with IE before, but since reinstalling that association has been lost. Anyway, you should be able to look at the logs in any text editor, such as notepad. You should just be able to go File->Open then choose All Files in the file of type box, and select your log file.

[edit] after re-reading your message I'm not so sure. It may be something your hosts have changed [/edit]
