Hi everybody,

I would like to know if Nedstats or other visits counter offer the option to hide counter scripts in html page or to forbiden the access to the stats url by a password access.
Thanks a lot.

I use Nedstat free on my sites, I hide the button under a layer which is the same colour as my background.

I just book mark the url for checking the stats, I know it says your not supposed to use it for business websites, but if you have a look at the Nedstat catalogue there are loads of business users.

I also have my own logs from the server, but I have to wait until midnight to see the results. With the nedstat counter I can watch the traffic progress throughout the day :)

Hi Curlycarl, thanks for your answer.
If i want to hide my counter it is for competition, not for users, then if I hide the counter logo, obsviously it will not help me at all because in those days, so many webmaster are using hidden "things" ;))) and so many webmasters are curious to find them ;))
I also use free nedstatsbasic and because my english is quite poor or because nedstats do not offer this option, I could not get any possiblity to forbiden access to my nedstats url :((((

I wouldn't worry about it, you can't find the url from the nedstat counter code. All it gives is a little bit of Jscript and a long url like

ht*tp://v6.nedstatbasic.net/stats?AB1lIATgsperPtiaSvzek692v7fQ

(I have changed it slightly)

when you register with them they send you the URL via email. :)
