An anti-porn law passed in Pennsylvania will soon be challenged. In an attempt to block porn they are also blocking access to sites on the same IP.

I know this problem exists in other states too, but I'm not sure if the ban on porn in those states is legislated.

I do know that a site I developed content for was blocked by "safe surfing" software because it contained the words, "witches and satan". What is ironic is that those same filter words would also prevent sites that used certain bible passages from being viewed as well.

The PA law seems to have been written by people with absolutely no technical knowledge, par for the course eh?

Thanks for the tip. "par for the course..." well said.

I can only hope they fix their mistake asap re: that law. :)

The moral here is to know who your neighbors are. Don't host on anyone host that doesn't specifically bar adult material on their system.
