I was wondering if anyone knew some good tools (either free or at low cost) for building a search engine friendly site map page. We usually just do it by hand, but we have a client with a huge site that we are consulting on SEO and I would like to assist them in building a proper site map page. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Xenu is useful for checking web site links and there is a macro available that can generate a site map from the results.

I found it didn't recognize duplicate pages though so it needed to be cleaned up considerably. Now I have a site map format in place I just cut and paste the code with each new page and change the links and page title accordingly.
