I have a client who has a button on a web page that links to a .exe of a movie he has generated. We wanto to put this site on a laptop where he won't have internet access.
So we put a copy of the site on his laptop. The problem is that when you click this link rather than view the movie it pops up a window that says do you want to open it at this location or download it. You know the one
How can I disable this behaviour so that the movie runs rather than the box popping up.
Background..
This guy is a bathroom installer he has created this movie of other jobs he has done, he wants to take his laptop with him and while he is doing a quote, set the client up so that they can watch the movies.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Colin
It seems odd that this movie has a file type of ".exe"
What kind of movie is it, really? Normally, I'd expect .mpeg, .mpg, or .wmv - something like that. The only .exe "video" I can think of is a self-extracting Shockwave movie, and in that case, it does have to execute in order to extract and play.
This may be the root cause of the problem (or maybe not). ;)
