How do I find out the IP Address?

of a domain with subfolder?

Let's say I have a domainname e.g. [blablabla.com...]

I can easily route or ping that domain and get the IP entry for it but how can I find out if it uses different IP Addresses?

I mean let's say it is a hosting company and each member gets a subfolder below that domain, e.g.

[blablabla.com...]

and that account is using another IP Address on the machine, how can find out that exact IP, where does that folder /hosting1 point to?

is it even possible?

foy,

I believe you will find that they all share the same IP address. IP addresses are assigned to domains and subdomains of domains, but not to "folders" or "usernames".

This is probably a shared-IP hosting setup.

This is probably a shared-IP hosting setup.

Several ways it could be accomplished depending upon the OS/webserver set up but in the end you've pretty well nailed it.

Something like:
Query : www.google.com

Offical Name = www.google.com
Aliases =
Addresses = 216.239.51.100, 216.239.35.100

or:
Netblock, Host Address, Status, IP Address
216.239.35.100 [google.com...] (200 OK) 216.239.51.101
Server: GWS/2.0

216.239.35.101 www.google.com (Connect call failed) 216.239.51.101

216.239.35.102 [google.com...] (200 OK) 216.239.51.101
Server: GWS/2.0

216.239.35.103 [google.com...] (200 OK) 216.239.51.101
Server: GWS/2.0

If this looks like what you need, send me a sticky mail..
