I came across this website (pcpitstop.com)and have used it to analyze my system. It seems to be a very good site and offers some good suggestions. The only thing that bothers me is that the things I did to help "clean up" and streamline my system did not help when I ran another test. The files they suggested that were running in the background all seem to be necessary (system-type files), and I don't want to end them or delete them.

Does anyone else have experience with this website that could offer any other suggestions?

Welcome to WebmasterWorld, moanerman [webmasterworld.com].

I've not used this resource, but it looks interesting. Anyone else use it?

I've used it often. It helps spot and plug security and performance.

The only problem I've seen is the one that moanerman mentions. Sometimes after applying a recommended fix, PC Pitstop still suggests applying the same fix.

So sometimes, either it can't tell that it's fixed things, or the suggested fix didn't work, or it wasn't neccessary in the first place.

Listen to PC Pitstop's usually good advice, and make up your own mind about suggested changes.
