Any info on which are the most popular SEs/directories used?
Toile seems to be out as the pages are for an Irish music festival, and though in French, have no Quebec specific content.

La Toile is definitly the place. But you absolutely need some content about Québec. Your pages can be written in English.

Google comes first in my referrals. Sympatico (a portal) uses Google too.

You can try yahoo.ca in french, still free.

Interesting about having the Quebec specific content in English for La Toile, may well be able to put together a page on 'nos amis Quebequois' or some such.

The free submit mentions twelve weeks or so for inclusion, is that true or a means to get you to use the express submit?

It is unfortunatly true. They do take all this time to include a site. The waiting list is long and they suffered heavy cuts on staff since they changed hands. But they are pushing the express submit with this extended period. It was about 6 weeks before they introduced this 'service'.

Expect someone from Netword Media (the PPC they use) to call you in the first weeks you submit (they dont take very long to lookup for your addy).
