Imgannot.cgi

Receiving 404's with this in - What is it?

I get a lot of strange looking 404's quite frequently woth imgannot.cgi in them such as :

[mydomain.com...]

Does anyone else get this and know what it is all about?

Perhaps they found a flubbed link someplace and are attempting to follow it?

Is there a referrer when this happens, or is the http_referer field blank? and is it the same user agent / ip address, or different?

That would be the best place to start looking, imho.

Is this still happening with your site? And when did it start?
