I have 2 domain names one is a .com te other is the equivilant .co.uk. The webhost i was using for the .com site has been nothing but hassle from day one so I am waiting for the name to expire so I can move it to another host. Cirently my webspace has expired and all I have is the domain that I can point to another site. I have moved all my content to the .co.uk domain. is it safe to use the domain forwarding to the .co.uk domain. The webhost in question keeps the .com in frame so that the .com address remains in the addres bar. The host in question is uk2.net any tips?

The .com has a PR5 the .co.uk has a PR6

The web host should not be able to keep your domain unless it is registered in their name. Is it?

If it's registered in your name, then just open an account at a different registrar and make a request to transfer the domain into your new account.

Why wait until the name expires this sounds a little risky to me, move the tag to your new hosting company now then when it comes up for renewal renew it with you new company

UK2, your going to have fun !

Yea tell me about it...

I have emailed my prefered host and asked if they would be willing to over-see the transfere.

Heres hoping.
