Help ! - Left Click not working !

any ideas on how to fix this

My laptop this morning was working fine, I left the computer connected while I went of for breakfast and when I came back there was the Norton AntiVirus pop us saying a new incoming email had the Kelz virus.

When I tried to click Quarantine as I normally do I discovered the computer had frozen, so I switched off and rebooted.

Now I cannot left click at all, not on the mouse nor the touchpad. I have tried in safe mode and it is the same.

I can move the cursor around but cannot left click on anything.

Does anyone have any ideas

1) What may have caused this?

2) How to fix it?

Have you tried connecting another mouse?

Try this

Start --> Settings --> Control Panel --> Mouse

I had similer problem few days back and somehow it just fixed itself - I never got time to work on it (good or bad?)

Hope this helps.

P.S.. It would be a good time to virus scan your system.

Thanks all, had to reinstall the mouse drivers twice and change the mouse to get it to work !
