It working with the registry hack "hidden" now !

Tommy,

This is very interesting. What kind of radio equipment do you use, and how far is it from your home to
work?

Thanks,
Jim

OK Here is my info::
-2 accesspoints Lanescape WL2450 (2 Mbits)
-2 parabolic antenna 60cm from "Antennspecialisten"
-2 cables lowloss 4 meters with SMA/N

And my distance is 3.8 kilometers

This should work if i have free sight, but i havent !
i have a lot of threes and over water so i have to
improve my connection so i install 2 amplifiers from "Fleeman Anderson & Bird"
It was expensive but it works great ...

I have to reduce power because only 100 mw output from antenna is legal...(So now i have 25 meter cable to the antenna)

Tommy,

Thanks - I am researching this area with the possibility of setting up a "Community Internet Access
Point" because I live in an area with no DSL or cable infrastructure, and satellite ISP ping times
are too long (that's what I use now) - Even though the data rate is very high once a connection is
established, many normal browsing activities suffer a 0.480 mSec delay on every request/response. I
am thinking of linking several houses via a private RF network, and then sharing an (expensive)
radio connection to the internet. I need to work out the equipment costs, and then figure out how
to specify a contract with a "professional" company to handle the common radio link to the actual
internet connection.

Thanks for the reply!

Jim
