What are the reasons you reject sites submitted to your directories?
Not really in any particular order but probably the top 20:
1) Site does not fit into the directory's topic.
2) Site is overrun with advertisements.
3) Site was created with a DIY site maker and takes forever to load.
4) Site is not available in English.
5) Site contains broken links and/or broken pictures.
6) Every page of site opens in a new window.
7) Site is confusing... can't even tell what they are selling... if anything!
8) Site is hosted on a free server so won't likely be around long.
9) Site contains something that search engines frown on... hidden text, for example.
10) The site's text is not legible, does not contrast with backgound enough or is too small to read.
11) Site has links to under construction or "sorry, no products in this category" pages.
12) The site contains nothing unique. The directory already has plenty of sites selling those same posters, for example.
13) The site has a forum that is not moderated and contains vulgar language/links. This is a growing problem as it seems more and more sites are adding forums but are not committing the time needed to keep up with them.
14) The site claims to be more than they really are... the largest selection of Ford parts on the planet but they only carry a handful of products. Of course, more are "coming soon".
15) Site is just a shell waiting for visitors to build it. A community site with no members, for example.
16) Site does not have proper photos of/information about the products they are selling.
17) The site is "member's only" so can not be properly reviewed.
18) Site contains unrelated, pushy religious matter.
19) The "back" button has been disabled.
20) The "skip intro" button does not work.
I'm sure there are more that I forgot to mention...
