Hi,

I'm trying to set up outlook express so I can send a receive mail@mydomain.com

However after setting it up exactly how my host has said I still can't send email. I can receive it though.

My host said this:

We have checked the email accout info@mydomain.com through outlook express. And it is
working properly. We didn't face any problem. Please check the same at your end. And still if
you are getting any problem, it seems that your IP or your ISP's IP is blocked. So we suggest
you to check the same on another network.

Can someone please explain what this means and how I can resolve it?

Thanks

I've contacted both my website host and my ISP and they both say it's not their problem...

what can I do now?

Have you created a user account at your host called "mail?"

You should have an entry for "info" and "mail."

If you set your outgoing mail server as your hosting company's, you should also ensure that the option - "My server requires authentication" is checked. Otherwise, your hosting company's server will not allow you to send without knowing who you are.

If your outgoing mail server is set to your ISP's, you may need to check this option and also set your ISP accounts' username and password under the settings option.
