Simple question about iframes

Does the google bot (or other SE spiders) like to crawl and index content in an iframe? I'm not trying to pull anything sneeky - I just have an iframe with content and links to other relevant pages and I'm now conserned that this may be bad for SEO?

Google indexes <iframe> content as a separate page. Other search engines may include it in the parent - certainly this used to be the case but I haven't bothered to check recently.

I generally add a NOINDEX robots meta to anything that has to be placed in an <iframe>.
