Adding a blog to my site

Same URL or a new one

I am adding a blog to my main website, and I've been debating whether to add it to the same URL or if I should create a new one.

It should get a lot of traffic fed in from my main site, and I expect the links to come, so I was wondering if it would be better as a separate site.

It depends on what you want, really. For SE purposes, it is better to have it as /blog/, but for branding purposes, that is if you plan to become big sometime, go for a new name (ie. your real name). That's what I ended up doing anyway.
