How to deal with website that is falsely accusing me?

Here's the deal. Someone has recently been ranked directly below my listing and claiming that I my services are no good and that I am a rip off! For those who believe what they read,...THIS IS NOT TRUE.

What can I do to push this listing down and away from me? I would like to do it "white hat" and not some sneaky way. Anybody have any ideas or been through this same thing?

The danger is to inflame the situation and give them more publicity.

Can you send them a legal letter asking them to remove your details from their site?

Try and keep your rebuttals off the internet and consider that everything you do to/with them they may post on the net and use against you.

Sometimes time is the best answer, as long as you stay in your position and they fall away.

If they are defaming you, contact the host. The chances are they are breaching terms and conditions. Hosts don't make enough money from single clients to risk being cited in a lawsuit so they'll probably deal with it pretty swiftly.

I never thought about talking to the host...that could work. Thanks for the info!
