Virus Checker

What the best virus checker to use?

Ive been using Norton, but it slows the machine down and I heard nothing but bad news!

Ive just done a new XP re-install so have a new setup and am using Netgear Router with a built in firewall.

Dont mind paying as long as it not too expensive!

Any recommendations welcome

I schedule updates at 4 AM, it's like the program is not even there.

That is, if you can get Norton to cooperate in an uninstall. I would up having to reformat my hard drive to get rid of it!

I had already formatted the HD, due to SP2 issues and Norton!

Ive opted for AVG and Zone Alarm
