Avoid Penalty From Url Redirection

Hi,

I am wondering if there is a way to use url redirection without being penalized by search engine?

I have a blog that was a subdomain of blogger, but I have bought my own domain and have moved my website there. I don't want to lose old website address since it is indexed on a lot of search engines already. But I know redirection is looked down upon by search engine, so I am just wondering if there is a way to make it a legitimate redirection?

Best thing you can do is just post links to your new website.
