I was trying to find some help and resources to create a website project plan that spans from the very first step in the decision making process to the after go live analyzation. This is for the merge of 2 corporate sites and creation of a new overall branding strategy. im hoping to put together an easy to read excel type document that lays the foundation. Does anyone have experience doing this or has anyone seen a project plan template that helps lead me in the right direction? Its always been a challenge for me to do formal project plans, in the past scope type outlines have served my clients needs.

I was looking for the same thing and end up with one local bank's business plan writer. Now I see each my site as different business and write my plans. Just trying the first one and i will see how it goes.

Stick with business plans, there's tons of literature available in every good bookshop. I normally write (out of my head, not necessarily complete):

-Title and Abstract (what is it about)
- Market Assessment & Competitors
- Keyword lists and topics
- Navigation draft & content structure
- Time frame & perspective

If this is what you were wondering about. Good luck!
