Quick listing for charity/fund raising site

Hi
Is there any way to get a quick listing for a charity event planned in the near future.
I have built a site this week which is for the sole purpose of listing two charity, fund raising events, one in April the other in July but need to get the site listed quickly if there is such a way. Preferably without paying.

When you say, "listed", where do you mean... (DMOZ, Yahoo, Google, MSN, etc.)?

None of those will list you instantly.

Write a press release. Send it to local government and community sites, churches, synagogues, service organizations, related charitable organizations, local media such as radio stations and newspapers, local bloggers and community ativists -- whatever and whomever might apply.

I was hoping to get on Google for the events particular search term but realise this might not be possible.
I have submitted the site to dmoz and google but know it could take some time. Just wondered if there is a quick way to get listed if it is a non profit making site, just in case there was a diferent way of indexing.?
